Mothers Day: Pauline Njoroge Recounts Losing Her Unborn Twins

The world celebrated Mothers day yesterday on 14 May,as is the custom since time immemorial.

In as much as it is always a happy day for those with mothers and mothers themselves, the day brings back sombre memories for those others who lost their kids.

Media personality Pauline Njoroge is among the latter as she recounted on the painful loss of her unborn twins in a miscarriage that faded happiness from her for quite some time.

On Mothers day,Njoroge recalled how her twins pregnancy always lit her life and brought abundant happiness to her. She could always smile to an extent that her friends nicknamed her Mama happiness.

“Not long ago I carried twins in my womb and they brought me the most fulfilling joy. Those few months made part of my life’s happiest days, and I was ever smiling. One of my close friends even nicknamed me Mama Happiness,”read part of her long caption of her TBT photo of her pregnancy on Facebook.

She added that it was tough for her because of her leadership role that pushed her to cut short her mourning and portray a strong image out there.

“Losing my unborn children crashed me… watching as they disappeared in a pool of blood caused me unexplainable pain. For several months I was an emotional mess and nothing could comfort me. I broke down a million times and tears became my daily food. Out here I kept a strong face because sometimes as women and leaders, we do not have the luxury of breaking down in public no matter what is happening internally.”She wrote.

Wishing all mothers a happy Mother’s day, Njoroge highlighted the importance being a mother as she thanked those akin to her for their support during her time of grief.

“I am grateful for the strong support system in my life, which carried me through this period and for God’s grace. For every mother out there, it is such a blessing to carry life and bring it to this world. Always treasure it. Happy Mother’s Day,” she said.
