Gachagua Hosts Linda Mwananchi Movement Leaders in High-Stakes Political Consultations

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua hosted key leaders of the Linda Mwananchi movement, led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, for consultative political discussions at his Wamunyoro residence in Nyeri County.

The meeting, held shortly after Gachagua’s return from an extended stay in the United States, focused on exploring potential political convergence, coalition frameworks, and opposition strategy ahead of the 2027 General Election.

During the high-profile engagement, Gachagua dismissed narratives framing his regional mobilization efforts as tribalistic, advocating instead for a broad-based, inclusive opposition front capable of challenging the current administration.

“We are one team working towards addressing the real economic and governance challenges affecting ordinary Kenyans,” Gachagua stated following the meeting, calling on opposition factions to reject political division.

The consultative forum marks a significant step in the Linda Mwananchi movement’s ongoing outreach to key political figures across various regions, as the coalition movement continues to structure its organizational framework and national appeal.
