Softcare Kenya Revenue Jumps 17.4% as Demand for Baby-Care Products Grows

Softcare Limited has recorded strong growth in its Kenya business. This growth has seen its revenue from the market rising from 17.4% to Sh7.2 billion in the six months to June 2026. The growth was supported by higher sales volumes and average selling prices.

Softcare’s Kenya revenue increased from $47.3 million in the same period last year. It reached $55.5 million by June 2026.
Uganda also recorded higher revenue during the period, making it sales to skyrocket from $29.9 million from $24.6 million.

However, Tanzania posted a similar growth with its revenue increasing to $27 million from $22.7 million.

The company’s overall performance also improved. Revenue rose 30.7% to $332.7 million. This means the company has now seen a profit increased by 46% to $75.8 million. In total, East Africa contributed $151.4 million to the total revenue.

The region accounted for 45.5% of Softcare’s total revenue. The results highlight the growing importance of East African markets to the manufacturer.

Baby-care products remain to be Softcare’s main source of sales. The category generated $261.9 million during the period. Baby-care products accounted for 78.7% of group sales, while feminine-care products contributed $56 million. Family-care products generated another $14.9 million. The figures show the continued dominance of baby-care products in Softcare’s business.

The company attributed the growth to several factors. These included higher sales volumes and prices. Wider distribution also supported the performance. Softcare also pointed to production optimisation and entry into new markets.

Stronger African currencies against the US dollar also supported the results. The company has continued to expand its manufacturing capacity.

By June, Softcare had 10 factories and 73 production lines. The expansion is expected to support its growing sales across African markets.
