The political tour signaled a significant shift in regional alignments as former Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza officially welcomed and hosted Sifuna’s team. Addressing a heavily charged crowd in Nkubu town, opposition leaders present formally endorsed the Nairobi senator for his 2027 presidential bid, highlighting growing internal competition against other opposition heavyweights such as Siaya Governor James Orengo.
Sifuna strongly criticized President William Ruto’s administration, accusing the executive of widespread governance failures and severe economic mismanagement.
