Businessman and socialite Amber Ray’s fiance, Kennedy Rapudo, has shed light on his journey from humble beginnings to building a successful business empire. Rapudo shared all his trials and experiences before success.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Oga Obinna, the entrepreneur revealed that he was born in Mombasa but raised in different regions in Kenya due to her mother’s job-related relocations. At one point, the father of three was raised by his grandmother in Migori where he described the experience as the best considering that he was the youngest grandchild.
On his education, the businessman recalled attending the same school with Embakasi East’s Member of Parliament, Babu Owino. Rapudo shared a hint of the MP’s personality where he described Owino as cheeky and funny. The entrepreneur’s education was faced with a bundle of hiccups after he lost his parents. In highschool, he was forced to drop out of school for two years before a well wisher aided in paying his school fees at a school in Kawangware, Nairobi. Despite the ups and downs, Rapudo managed to score a B+ which guaranteed him of joining tertiary institution.
The entrepreneur joined the University of Nairobi where he pursued a degree in Arts before proceeding for a masters degree in project planning management. He also pursued a second masters degree at USIU as he termed their programs as the best.
Rapudo described the various odd jobs he ventured in before his success. He once hawked thermos flasks before trying his luck in poultry farming. The entrepreneur was later employed in an oil company but that wasn’t enough to make him settle down as he is a go-getter. He decided to venture into Uber business before he realized the huge profits in the tourism industry. Rapudo founded his tour company which is thriving up to date.
He completely dismissed Wash Wash speculations after a section of netizens recently questioned his source of income. His revelation made it clear that despite living a private life, he is a strategic businessman.
