Renowned media personality Kamene Goro has sent waves of excitement through her fan base as rumours circulate about her highly anticipated return to the airwaves. The charismatic radio presenter, television host, and social media influencer has captivated audiences with her candid personality and captivating on-air presence, making her one of the most prominent figures in the Kenyan media industry.
Kamene Goro’s journey in the media industry has been nothing short of remarkable. Starting her career as a news anchor and presenter at Ebru TV, she quickly rose to prominence, becoming one of the youngest news anchors on TV at just 21 years old. Her commitment to her craft led her to NRG Radio, where she co-hosted the breakfast show and garnered significant attention from media gurus.
In 2019, Kamene and her co-host Andrew Kibe made headlines when they were poached by Radio Africa Group to host the breakfast show at Kiss FM. However, their transition was temporarily halted due to a legal battle with NRG Radio over a breach of contract. She expressed her contentment with her ongoing endeavours outside of mainstream media, emphasising that she is in no rush to return to radio.
“I am genuinely happy with what I am currently engaged in, and there are certain things I don’t feel the need to go back to,” Kamene explained. She highlighted the freedom her break from mainstream media has afforded her, particularly the opportunity to travel, which had been restricted for some time. Kamene expressed her joy in exploring different destinations and is currently enjoying her time in Mombasa, where she plans to spend about a week.
“I am thoroughly enjoying this space. I had missed traveling immensely, as I hadn’t been able to do so for quite some time.
“Now, I find myself exploring different destinations,” She said.
While Kamene’s fans may have to wait a little longer for her radio comeback, her personal life has been flourishing. In a recent exclusive wedding ceremony held on April 20, 2023, Kamene tied the knot with her partner DJ Bonez. The intimate celebration was attended by close friends and family, including notable personalities such as Jalang’o and DJ Kaytrixx.
Kamene’s romantic journey hasn’t been without its ups and downs. She revealed that before they started dating, she and DJ Bonez initially disliked each other, but their relationship eventually blossomed. In January 2023, they celebrated their two-year anniversary, sharing their joy with fans through a heartfelt social media post.
