Kindiki Imposes A 30-day Dusk-to-dawn Curfew At Chakama Ranch

The Chakama Ranch region would be under a 30-day dusk–to–dawn curfew, according to Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki.

Additionally, more security personnel have been sent by the government to search the enormous Shakahola forest for any surviving adherents of notorious televangelist Paul Mackenzie. For a period of 30 days, Kindiki declared and published curfew orders in the aforementioned region between the hours of 1800 in the evening and 6:00 in the morning. This means that during the time of the curfew into and out of Chakama Ranch, there must be no public meetings, processions, or movement, either alone or as a group.

The only movement that will be permitted in accordance with Kindiki will be approved in writing by the operation commander and Kilifi county police commander. The CS classified the 20,418-hectare area in Kilifi’s Lango Baya division and Malindi subcounty a disturbed area on Tuesday.

The location was also designated a crime scene by Kidiki.

“The area is an active security operation zone and no access by the public shall be permitted there effective today, April 26, except as may be permitted by the operation commander and/or until these orders are vacated,” he stated.
