The Githurai Dais Vandalized Ahead Of The Raila Odinga Rally

A dias that had been erected in Githurai for dignitaries has been damaged by unidentified individuals in advance of the Azimio La Umoja demonstration.

As other equipment was being relocated to the side, white-clad chairs were observed on the ground upside down. While the opposition team is currently addressing their followers at a baraza in Kiambu, the cause of the vandalism has not yet been determined.

That is the final public baraza the ODM leader will hold before the eagerly anticipated “date with destiny” mass protest scheduled for Monday. In order to rally supporters in advance of Monday’s march to the State House, the team is also anticipated to travel across Nairobi over the weekend.

On Saturday and Sunday, City Azimio MPs, MCAs, and grassroots leaders will host mobilization rallies to set the stage for the massive protest that is anticipated to draw thousands of Azimio supporters.

On Friday, ODM MPs are anticipated to make a public announcement regarding the estates they will visit in preparation for the mass action. Raila has been requested to cooperate with the police to protect people and property during the disobedience march after President William Ruto issued a warning against disorderly demonstrations.

We have no issues with you organizing protests, but we do ask that you cooperate with the police to ensure that the rest of Kenya’s citizens’ lives are not disrupted, their property is not destroyed, their businesses are not harmed, and they can go about their daily lives unhindered so that you can carry out your demonstrations.
