William Ruto Says Gachagua Does Not Understand Government Policies

President William Ruto continued his direct attacks on Rigathi Gachagua.

As he concluded his six-day tour of the western region, President William Ruto fiercely attacked his former deputy, Rigathi Gachagua. In the past week, there have been direct and fierce attacks between former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and president William Ruto. The two fell out late last year, and Gachagua was successfully impeached. He has been in the public space since saying his former boss betrayed the Mt. Kenya region and the whole of Kenya.

William Ruto insisted that Gachagua does not understand the different government policies he is putting in place. “He doesn’t understand anything about the programs of the Republic of Kenya. He doesn’t understand anything about the Universal Health Coverage (UHC); he has no clue about housing, he has no clue about agriculture, and he has no clue about our young people. Then he stands there pretending to give us a lecture. You’re giving us a foolish lecture; where do you expect to take us with that? Absolutely useless.” He said.

Several leaders who accompanied William Ruto urged Gachagua to stop attacking the president because he failed to do his job. Musalia Mudavadi also said that he does not see any other candidate who can defeat Ruto and Raila Odinga, who are working together.
