Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has lashed out at leaders who deceive Kenyans by claiming that their time is over and urging them to retrace their steps and tell the citizens the truth.
Gachagua spoke over the weekend, stating that he is committed to speaking the truth and informing Kenyans about the government’s efforts to enhance development across the country.
In his remarks, Gachagua pointed out that many people dislike him because he focuses on the truth, which is something many politicians do not appreciate.
“I urge leaders to listen to the people. Many have an issue with me for speaking the truth because, for far too long, elected leaders have lied to the public. But now, Kenyans are informed and aware. With the internet, they can access information and track the government’s development efforts. The time for deceiving them is over,” said Rigathi Gachagua.
He further urged the people to remain united and uphold unity, even as politics take a new turn following Raila Odinga’s entry into the government and the recent verbal attacks by Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah.
