The New Rule Requires Pastor Ezekiel To Go Before The Police Once a Month

New Life Center for Prayer Instead of attending every week as previously instructed, Pastor Ezekiel Odero will now only appear before the investigating officer once a month.

Senior Principal Magistrate Omido J.M. of Mombasa modified the orders that had been given on May 15 and required him to appear before the investigating officer each Monday.

The ruling states that the respondent must now appear before the investigating officer once every month, on a day in each succeeding month, and at a time that has been set by the attorneys for the prosecution and the defense. Every week, Ezekiel has been appearing before the investigating officer to help the police with their inquiries into their allegations against him.

The government reopening Ezekiel’s TV station last week gave him a huge victory because his more than 10 million followers could now see his sermons.

The authorities intensified its investigations into the Shakahola killings due to cult preachings in April, leading to the closure of the World Evangelism TV. Ezekiel is the televangelist for New Life International Prayer Centre and Church, which owns the channel. Ezekiel has been fighting in court to have the TV signals returned.
