The KNH Plans To Dispose Unclaimed Bodies Within Seven Days

In the upcoming seven days, the Kenyatta National Hospital will dispose of any unclaimed dead from its mortuary.

According to the hospital, its Farewell Home includes a number of unclaimed dead. The hospital stated that it is just acting in accordance with Public Health Act Cap. 242 Subsidiary Law Public Health Public Mortuaries Rules, 1991 when it made the announcement on Tuesday.

In order to avoid the hospital having to obtain court permission to dispose of the dead, interested members of the public are asked to locate and retrieve the bodies within seven days. The KHN Farewell Home is where people can obtain the list of unclaimed bodies, according to the hospital.
