“Supreme Court Will Not Be Needed” Rigathi Gachagua Reveals His Plan in 2027

Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has claimed he will defeat William Ruto in the 2027 general elections.

Gachagua has been very vocal about the upcoming general elections where he saiid that his plan is to see William Ruto defeated. He has been very vocal and exposing the bad things Ruto has been doing since his impeachment in late 2024. He has, however, not revealed whether he will vie as the president or if he will support another candidate in the election bid come 2027. Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has been his favoured coalition partner if they decide to form one.

He revealed that there will be no need to go to the Supreme Court as the margin will be big. “President William Ruto won with a margin of 200,000 votes. Our strategy is to get 15 million votes. And we want a difference of around 5 to 6 million votes so that no one will go to the Supreme Court; it will not be necessary. We are going to have a 2002 moment.”He said.

He also urged the Luhya community to rally behind him and abandon William Ruto. “You have the numbers—this government is yours for the taking,” he told the people of Western Kenya. If you decide to walk with us, you must put your numbers on the table and state your demands. That way, we will form the government together,” Gachagua declared.
