Rigathi Gachagua Responds To President Ruto Attacks

Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has responded to President Ruto’s comments.

While on a tour of the western region on Wednesday, William Ruto addressed his problems with Gachagua, which led to his impeachment. He accused Gachagua of being an incompetent leader who is always pushing for tribal politics instead of uniting the country. He went on to say that the reason he was impeached was due to his cases of corruption; hence his plan failed.

Gachagua has wasted no time in responding to the president’s remarks and told the president that the mountain is gone and they will never vote for him again. “No amount of appointing anybody in this region will change anything. The people are through with Ruto because he betrayed and deceived the region. And his remedy, that is a matter of circumstance. And I have to be correct in the fullness of time…The mountain is gone and gone forever because it hates betrayal and hates deception. Those are two things that the people of the mountain hate,” he said.

Ruto has been on a touring campaign the entire week where he has started popularising his reelection bid in 2027. Gachagua is also rumoured to be eyeing the top seat as he is in talks with Kalonzo Musyoka.
