Raila Claims, “I won The Presidential Vote In August.”

Without offering any proof, opposition leader Raila Odinga asserted that he won the general election on August 9.

President William Ruto was named the victor of the contentious election, but Raila’s Supreme Court petition to overturn the result was denied.

“I have spent a lot of time with you. Many of you supported me during the most recent election. I’m confident that the truth will come out since we won that election “said he.

Many of you refer to me as Baba.

Raila also claimed that the executive had taken control of the judiciary.

“Criminal justice is disintegrating. Because of this, charges are being dismissed quickly, and criminals are being lauded and used as witnesses in court “said he.

Ruto, according to Raila, is allegedly plotting to rig the 2027 election early.

His remarks follow Ruto’s suspension of the four IEBC commissioners who were dissidents, including vice chair Juliana Cherera.

The President announced their suspension on Friday in a gazette notice, which went into force right away.

Justus Nyang’aya, Francis Wanderi, and Irene Masit are the other commissioners.

Raila asserts that the new procedure adopted by Parliament on Thursday for choosing the commissioners of the electoral board has nothing to do with integrity.

“The actions in Parliament yesterday, on the procedure for selecting IEBC commissioners, and the pursuit of the four commissioners have got nothing to do with integrity, but about 2027,” he stated.

To rig the 2027 election in 2022, says Ruto. This shouldn’t be allowed to happen.
