Raila Advises His Supporters To Brace Themselves For A Major Announcement In January 2023

Leader of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance Raila Odinga has reiterated his commitment to democratization and electoral reform.

The former prime minister urged his supporters to maintain their composure in advance of his major announcement in January 2023 while speaking on Friday, December 23, in Awendo Migori County. He emphasized that despite losing the presidential contest, he will continue to work hard and that there is still more to be done.

“I’m here to let you know that it’s not over. This issue is not resolved. I had previously stated that I did not want to discuss it, but in the upcoming month, I will let you know the course we intend to pursue.

After rating President William Ruto’s first 100 days in office as below average, he made his comments.

The Kenya Kwanza government, according to the ODM leader, has made many unfulfilled promises. This was revealed in a statement he issued on Thursday, December 22. He charged that the Ruto administration was “taking more Kenyans out of the fire and into the frying pan.”

“These 100 days have been spent traveling in vain. The statement said in part, “Kenyans are in worse shape than they were during the campaigns when UDA promises flowed.

The cancellation of the subsidies that had protected millions from the pain came as a shock to Kenyans, who had expected and deserved a significant stimulus package to help them out of their dire economic situation.

Among other things, Raila questioned the state of the economic reforms, the nomination of women to cabinet positions equally with men, the country’s efforts to lower its high debt ceiling, and the placement of the promised jobs for young people.

“The government is not operating as effectively as is necessary. On important subjects, there is too much incoherence and inconsistency, according to Raila.
