Siaya Governor James Orengo on Wednesday visited the home of the late Festus Amimo in Kano, Muhoroni Sub-County, Kisumu County, where he joined relatives, friends and neighbours in mourning the departed patriarch.Governor Orengo expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family, noting that Amimo’s death was a great loss not only to his household but also to the wider community that had long relied on his wisdom and guidance.
He praised the late Amimo as a devoted family man and a respected elder who contributed positively to social cohesion and community development.During the visit, Orengo encouraged the family to remain united and strong, assuring them of continued support from the county leadership during this difficult period.
He also reflected on the importance of honouring individuals who have played significant roles in their communities, saying that such values help preserve the social fabric that binds people together.
