Meta’s Llama Technology Drives Social Good Initiatives in Nigeria

Dr. Bayo (Olubayo) Adekanmbi PhD and Olasupo Abideen are at the forefront of this movement, utilizing Llama to drive meaningful change.

Dr. Olubayo Adekanmbi, CEO of Data Science Nigeria (now known as EqualyzAl), has developed a personalized learning platform called ULearn using Llama 2. This platform allows students, teachers, and
parents to generate multimedia learning content for elementary science, catering to individual needs and enhancing learning experiences.

Olasupo Abideen Opeyemni has created
MyAIFactChecker, a platform that tackles
misinformation by providing accurate and
user-friendly fact-checking capabilities. MyAIFactChecker leverages Llama 3’s advanced capabilities to address the misinformation problem effectively, supporting multiple languages and offering a truly inclusive user experience.

EqualyzAl also empowers market women with financial literacy tools, fostering economic growth and community stability. Their Al-driven healthcare solutions improve accessibility and coverage, especially in underserved regions.

Meta’s Llama technology has demonstrated significant potential to benefit billions of people worldwide. The company has launched the Llama 3.1 Impact Grants program, offering up to $2million in funding to support companies using Llama to address social challenges.
