Kalonzo Reacts After Farah Maalim Snubbed Party Disciplinary Summon

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has revealed that Dadaab MP Farah Maalim disregarded a party summon, meant to address his remarks on the youth-led anti-government protests in June. Speaking in a recent interview, the former Vice President stated that MP Maalim snubbed disciplinary summons completely failing to make appearance.

“I called Farah Maalim, who is the deputy party leader, to come and explain to me the basis of his remarks and he has completely failed to show up,” noted the Wiper party leader.

Maalim was summoned by Wiper party disciplinary committee to present himself before the committee and the basis of his controversial remarks he made during the Gen Z anti-government protests countrywide where he suggested he would “slaughter 5,000” young demonstrators daily if he held the presidency.

The remarks were made in Somali and captured in a video that later went viral and drew backlash from critics accusing the MP of inciting hostility.

Since making those controversial remarks, the Wiper Deputy party leader has faced loads of backlash from members of public, civil societies and a section of leaders with the most recent one calling out Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni in the picture.

During a TV breakfast show, hosted by TV 47 a few days ago, Kioni refused to share a table with Maalim saying, “I cannot sit to discuss with Maalim when he took the position of killing 5000 Gen Zs.”

The former Ndaragwa MP further stated that he wouldn’t have appeared for a panel discussion had he known he was to debate Dadaab MP Farah Maalim on matters pertaining politics of this country. He then, dramatically picked up his belongings and walked out.
