Jubilee secretary general Jeremiah Kioni has called out Rigathi Gachagua over abduction claims.
Former president Rigathi Gachagua earlier stated that there was a special unit formed by the president whose work was to abduct the youth. He threatened to reveal the abductors if the youths are not revealed. However, Kioni has not taken Gachgaua’s words lightly and has urged the former Mathira member of Parliament to stop spreading false information at the expense of the families.
Kioni took to his social media account on X to ask Gachagua to resist telling false stories about abductions. “Rigathi Gachagua must stop trivialising the grave issue of abductions in the country. His statements about revealing those involved without following through with actionable disclosures are both irresponsible and a slap in the face to the families suffering from these tragedies,” Kioni tweeted.
Over the past few weeks, there has been an increased number of abductions, especially of the youth who have been very vocal in calling out the Kenya Kwanza administration. This comes even after Ruto distanced himself from the accusations, as he said he had no clue who was abducting the youth.
