Eric Omondi: We are Calling for a 14-Day Daily Demonstration

East African funnyman Eric Omondi has had his view concerning the Azimio mass protest against the Kenya Kwanza government.

The comedian, who few weeks ago, spearheaded a group of young people into a peaceful demonstration against high cost of living; openly supported the idea of mass action organized by Azimio coalition party.

For him, the two days in a week (Monday and Thursday) ordained by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for mass protests is insufficient.

He therefore calls the people of Kenya to come out in large numbers to demonstrate on a daily basis, for a period of 14-days.

Taking to his Twitter handle, the king of East African comedy noted that through Monday to Monday mass protest, the government will have its financial backbone disjointed and till then will the government empathize with the common ‘mwananchi’.

“We are calling for a 14 day daily demonstration. Monday to Monday! Serikali ikose pesa vile tumekosa pesa.”

His sentiments come amidst critics that Azimio is receiving for not giving ears to pieces of advices and calls from various groups of people to cease nationwide mass protest.

Even if demonstrations were to be conducted daily according to how Eric Omondi wishes, do you see high cost of living among other demands that Azimio Leaders are making; being solved by this means?
