Danny Miles, The Cancer Patient who Begged Safaricom to Take Care of his Daughter, Dies

Friends and relatives condole with the family of Danny Miles, the kenyan cancer patient who begged Safaricom to take good care of her daughter, as he reportedly dies.

Maurice Ochieng is his official name. A few months ago, he took a bold step to write a long message on his Facebook account seeking fatherly help from Safaricom should the day for his last supper reach.

On the post, he revealed to have been battling cancer, soft tissue sarcoma.

He wrote:

Helloo Safaricom, I am Maurice Ochieng known as Danny Miles. I am from Muhoroni town. In March last year, I was diagnosed with cancer, soft tissue sarcoma.”

Further the 24-year old man said his condition kept worsening and that he only lives and survives upon the mercies from friends and well-wishers.

It’s eating me up for sure. Day by day I am feeling. I am living with the help of friends.”

To his very young daughter, his apple of eye; he showed sympathy terming himself a failed dad on his plans to be there for her when she makes her first step in education.

My young Daughter Britney Dova is still young. She has not started school yet. I was planning but I am sorry I have failed as a dad. Had my left arm chopped off but still the cancer metastasized.” He added.

In a statement that seemed to be his last bullet to save her daughter, the father of one wrote: ” I am appealing with to you to just help my daughter once I am gone because I can feel it.”

Just as he had sensed, Mr Maurice inhaled last bit of Oxygen on the evening of March 21, 2023.
