The newly nominated Information Communication Technology (ICT) Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo acknowledged his Excellency Dr. William Ruto through a message for the honor to steer the docket that was run by Joe Mucheru for the last seven years.
In the statement, Owalo expressed gratitude to the President for entrusting him with the mandate as he assured in transforming and the digital economy which according to him is a critical sector for the development of the economy.
The ICT CS designate also said that he is committed to work with the President to deliver to fulfill the campaign manifesto to the people of Kenya.
“This is an opportunity for me to serve my country and to help the President deliver on the promises he made to Kenyans. There is no greater honor than to serve one’s country. I promise to be responsive to the needs of Kenyans and to serve diligently with efficacy.” Read.
As he assumes to the office, he noted that he will give further communications in relation to his functional mandate and subsequent to fulfillment of the statutory processes related to the same.
According to his profile, Owalo is a former Kenya School of Government Director/ Council Member and former Managing Consultant of Eliud and Associates. He currently serves in the Institute of Human Resource Management (Fl HRM) and a Member of the Professional Trainers’ Association of Kenya (PTAK).
