A tragic accident has occurred after a 33-seater bus belonging to Naboka Sacco, traveling from Gataka to Karen, plunged into the Mbagathi River near the Cooperative University of Kenya.
According to the reports , the incident resulted in the deaths of at least eight people and left ten others injured. Those injured are currently being treated at Karen hospital.
Emergency services, including the Kenya Red Cross, the County Government, and well-wishers, responded promptly to the scene. The accident has raised concerns about road safety in the area, with calls for improved safety measures on the Gataka road.
