EFF: “If There Is Life And Justice After Death, May Elizabeth And Her Ancestors Get What They Deserve”

A South African group, Economic Freedom Fighters have blamed the effects experienced during and after colonization to the United Kingdom Queen Elizabeth and hence promised not to mourn her death.

According to the statement, Britain under the leadership of the British royal family is responsible for the pain, suffering, dehumanization and dispossession of African people. Killing of King Hintsa through body mutilation while his head taken to Britain as a trophy, murder of Nxele in the aftermath of the fifth frontier war, sanctioning the actions of Cecil Rhodes who plundered the country, oppressed, mutilated and killed many Kenyans who resisted to the British colonialism including Dedan Kimanthi and other Mau Mau fighters are some of the inhumane brutality done by Britain as highlighted.

The group noted that during the Elizabeth’s 70 year reign never acknowledged these crimes and atrocities that her family inflicted on native people across the world. Contrary, the Queen herself ordered brutal suppression of rebellions while her family benefitted from the wealth attained from the exploitations of millions of slaves.

“We do not mourn the death of Elizabeth, because to us her death is a reminder of a very tragic period in this country and Africa’s history. Britain under the influence of leadership of the royal family, took over control of this territory that would become South Africa in 1975 from Batavian control and took permanent control of the territory in 1806. From that moment onwards native people of the land have never known peace nor have they enjoyed the fruits of the riches of this land, riches which were and are still utilized for the enrichment of the British Royal family and those who look like them.”

“If there is life and justice after death, may Elizabeth and her ancestors get what they deserve.” Read part of the statement.
