Edwin Sifuna Calls Out ODM Leaders Defending Ruto

Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna has called out leaders in the ODM party.

There have been rumours that there is conflict within the ODM party over the directions of the party.Since Raila Odinga was declared a candidate for the AU chairman, the majority of the members within the ODM party decided to start defending Ruto and his administration since the Gen Z demonstrations in June. Ruto, in exchange for the support, also appointed various cabinet secretaries from the ODM party in his government. Hassan Joho and Junet Mohammed have been on the front line in defending Ruto.

However, Edwin Sifuna has now revealed that those leaders who do not wish to go with the principles of the party should join Ruto in UDA. “There are some leaders within ODM who seem to have forgotten the core principles of the party. They are now claiming to be tired of defending the rights of Kenyans. To such leaders, if you are tired, leave ODM and join Ruto in UDA.As for me, I always stand for the truth. If something is wrong, I will not hesitate to say it is wrong.” He said.

Earlier this month, Sifuna said that ODM will be stupid if they decide not to field a candidate in 2027 after they decide to support Ruto.
