The International Trade Centre (|TC) has launched the READY Salone project in Sierra Leone, a four-year initiative funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOlCA) to enhance digital skills among youth, particularly women and persons with disabilities.
The program aims to reach 3,000 youth and 250 MSMEs with digital training and business opportunities, while engaging 10,000 young people through awareness campaigns.

The project, supported by multiple government ministries, focuses on four key areas: digital literacy enhancement, entrepreneurial upskilling, strengthening tech support services, and developing inclusive national digital strategies.
Following its launch attended by key government officials including Chief Minister Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, the initiative kicked off with a slogan competition for 100 youth participants and discussions on inclusive finance and a Skills for Youth Employment Fund.
The program represents a significant step in Sierra Leone’s efforts to integrate its youth into the digital economy.
