Gospel Musician Ben Githae Clarifies On Musicians Helping DJ Fatxo To Raise Legal Expenses.

Kikuyu gospel artist, Ben Githae, has refuted the allegations of musicians forming a group that is helping Mugithi artist Lawrence Njuguna alias DJ Fatxo in paying the legal expenses after been involved in Geoffrey Mwathi’s death.

In an interview with Nairobi News, Githae indicated that he is not among the alleged musicians who are secretly contributing on Fatxo’s legal expenses.

He added that he had talked with several artists on the issue but all of them denied being involved in the group.

“We are not in any group. Those are just propaganda, but we are asking for justice, and that should be accompanied by the truth,” he said.

The artist also made a remark on the scrutiny that musicians go through in the social media adding that they are also humans and they go through ups and downs in life like any other person.

Just like Pritty Vishy’s recent sentiments, he believes that musicians are usually judged harshly by their fans who normally forget that they are human beings with feelings.

“They lift you up, but once they see you have made it and gotten money through them, they start fighting you. If they hear that you have neglected your children, they troll you. You cannot understand our fans. What do they want us to do?” Githae implied.

He added that musicians come together to help each other during their tough times and that makes them a family.

However, Githae noted that there are musicians who are jealous of each other getting many gigs.

“Jubilee” hitmaker also urged Kenyans to give the legal institutions time to work on Mwathi’s case and justice will be delivered.

Githae’s remarks comes in when the music industry is facing criticism after two artists, DJ Fatxo and Mirugi Dishon, were involved in murder cases.

Last weekend, Dishon was involved in the murder of pastor Elizabeth Githingi who allegedly committed suicide in his house.

Kenyans are yet to believe the suicide narratives in the two murder cases as they believed the deceased persons were killed.
