First daughter Charlene Ruto is now a Kisii name holder after paying a visit to the county during the weekend.
The President’s daughter took to Twitter to reveal her new Kisii name, Nyaboke, which means honey in Ekegusii.
Charlene had visited the region on Saturday May 13 following an invitation to be the chief guest in a youth summit by the Kissi County Universities and Colleges Association.
“I was hosted by the Kisii County Universities & Colleges Association where we had a discussion on innovation and climate change. It was such a thrill to witness and interact with the various innovations that the young people at Kisii are coming up with,” she wrote.
Charlene further termed the Kisii youth as ambitious youth that are very talented in music and the arts.
“Kisii County has amassed a cohort of ambitious youth that are very talented in music and the arts; which are areas we will be collaborating in as we look forward to youth empowerment. Massive thanks to them for hosting us and giving me my new name “Nyaboke” which means Honey,” she added.
This was among the many gestures by Charlene to show her devotion for youth empowerment.
