Babu Owino Slams Uhuru And Ruto ,Terms Their Relationship A Con Game

Embakasi East member of parliament Babu Owino has slammed President William Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta for pretending like sworn enemies in the public space, while they are close allies, terming the move  a con game aimed at hoodwinking the opposition and Kenyans.

The lawmaker issued the statement yesterday after he was asked on the role of the former president in Azimio consultative forums that are currently ongoing across the country.

Owino insisted that the current and former president are not foes as this is a just a long con game and they (opposition) should be never deceived and taken for a ride.

“ This is a long con game. Uhuru Kenyatta was the first person to be appointed into Ruto’s government, as peace envoy. You can’t fool us. If Uhuru is with us, he should come to the demonstrations and consultative forums. But because he is with Ruto, he can’t” Said Owino.

Several Azimio La Umoja leaders have called on the resignation of the former president (Uhuru Kenyatta) from their coalition due to his non-involvement in their activities to guide the coalition, after Raila Odinga claimed that he won the presidency during the last August 2022 elections and were on the way to reclaim the victory.

Lawmakers allied to president William Ruto had earlier on insisted that the demonstrations were funded by the former president to evade taxes, claims that were denied by Azimio , and told off that this is their own quest to reclaim what is rightfully theirs.
