Babu Owino Recognized as Kenya’s Best MP at Starleaders Awards

Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has been recognized as the best-performing MP in Kenya by Politrack Africa during the Starleaders Awards ceremony held at the Serena Hotel in Nairobi.

The recognition was announced during the annual gala event that celebrates outstanding leadership and public service across various sectors in the country. The awards bring together leaders from the National Assembly, Senate, county governments, and other public institutions to honor excellence in governance and service delivery.

According to the latest ranking released by Politrack Africa, Babu Owino emerged at the top among Members of Parliament, underlining his growing profile in national leadership and constituency performance.

The Embakasi East legislator has in recent years remained one of the most visible lawmakers in Parliament, often drawing attention for his outspoken style and active engagement on matters affecting the public.

In the same ranking, Mavoko MP Patrick Makau and Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera were placed in second position, tying in the category, while Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro was ranked third.

The latest recognition adds to a series of positive rankings for Babu Owino, who has also previously been named among the country’s top-performing legislators in other national surveys. Political observers say the repeated recognition reflects his continued influence both within Parliament and among his supporters.

The Starleaders Awards by Politrack Africa are aimed at acknowledging leaders who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to public service, accountability, and leadership excellence. The event also honored other leaders from across Kenya in categories such as governors, senators, cabinet secretaries, and principal secretaries.
