Azimio-One Kenya Alliance Appoints Senate, National Assembly Leadership

Speaking at Jaramongi Oginga Odinga Memorial in Nairobi, Kalonzo Musyoka under the Azimio La Umoja Coalition has revealed leaders picked for the Parliametary Leadership of both houses.

Ugunja Member of Parliament Opiyo Wandayi was nominated for the position of Majority leader in the National Assembly alongside Kathiani Member of Parliament Robert Mbui to become the National Assembly Deputy Majority leader..

The Coalition settled for Suna east Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed has been appointed the coalition’s Chief Majority Whip and will be deputised by nominated Member of Parliament Sabina Chege at the National Assembly.

In the Senate, Mombasa Senator Steward Madzayo was fronted for Senate minority leader and will be deputised by Kitui senator Enock Wambua whereas Isiolo Senator Fatuma Dulo appointed to lead the minority whip with his Deputy to be Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.

Speaker of National Assembly Moses Wetang’ula will determine the Majority team in the house whereas in the Senate, Kenya Kwanza has emerged the Majority while Azimio-One Kenya Alliance will take the Minority.

The following Azimio-One Kenya nominated leaders will battle with their opponents Kenya Kwanza appointed leaders during their first sittings, to settle for one Majority leader and Minority leader and their Deputies in the National Assembly same as in the Senate.
