Gospel musician Ringtone Apoko has narrated how he has been suffering from the time Robert Alai assaulted him.
Speaking in an interview with bloggers on Wednesday, Apoko whose head was covered with a bandage explained the health challenges he has been going through since the incident.
The musician had just come out of Kibera law courts where he appeared for the hearing of his assault case against Alai.
Alai is a blogger as well as the current Kileleshwa Member of County Assembly (MCA).
The MCA is currently facing charges for assaulting the musician where he allegedly smashed the windscreen of Apoko’s car before hitting him on the head with a club.
This incident happened in July 2021 where the musician filed a case against Alai.
The self-claimed chairman of gospel musicians indicated that since the incident, he has been experiencing consistent headaches and he is currently under medication.
This is after developing serious complications which included blood clot in the head which explained the reason his head was dressed.
He added that in a two weeks time, his head will be operated in a South African hospital.
Apoko accused the authorities of compromising justice delivery after police and former prosecutor tried to sugarcoat Alai’s actions.
He added that if the authorities wanted the case to be over they could have presented the CCTV footages of the spot he was attacked since it is at the roundabout.
The musician claimed that the police hid the footages and that makes the case more complicated.
The next hearing of this case will be in May.
