KRG The Don: “Muziki Wangu Si Wa Watu Wako Na Njaa”

KRG The Don AKA Buga is a Kenyan Dancehall and Afrobeats star who is well known for his critics involving the Kenyan artists.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with presenter Ali, KRG indicated that his music are not for “watu wako na njaa”(hungry people) adding that anyone who doesn’t know his song is just a low life person and should rather switch on to gospel music.

The musician advised his fans that they should heal from whatever they are going through before listening to his music because only healthy people should listen to his music.

KRG claimed that he intends to inspire people through his songs and anyone claiming not to know him or his genre does not fit in his class.

He always has a tendency of overlooking on low life persons as it is said that he divorced his wife because of associating herself with the poor.


Referring to himself as an “international artist living in Kenya”, he bragged about international artists visiting him once in a while yet other Kenyan artists usually waits for such artists to come and perform in Kenya so as to do a collaboration with them.

On the interjection why most Kenyans claimed they don’t know him in the street interview, KRG insinuated that even a mad person in the streets knows him.

At one point, KRG got into a war of words with a fan after he shared his opinion about KRG’s music where the fan reached out to the musician alleging that he is not talented and that he forces himself into the music industry yet he is not talented.

He rebuked Kenyan artists for their unwillingness to spend and invest in their art but rather investing in other short term projects.


KRG bragged about some key figures like Mboya who used his name to clout chase and now they are in a better place to cater for their life out of content creation.


Buga has also been featured in one of Eddy Butita’s films where he claimed that he is set to receive 40% of everything each episode makes.

He also urged Kenyans to maintain oral hygiene especially when they are getting in contact with him.

Buga is dubbed the richest musician in the Kenya whereby he quickly rose to fame after releasing back-to-back hits.


His song “Mathogothanio” featuring Boondocks gang and DJ Lyta became a hit garnering over three million views on YouTube.

KRG is also trained deejay who is said to have started music at the age of 16 and his interest has not dimmed since.
