The iconic English Premier League trophy has officially arrived in Kenya, kicking off a multi-city tour that offers local football supporters an up-close experience with the world’s most coveted club football silverware.
Organized in partnership with Guinness—the official beer partner of the Premier League—the trophy tour is structured around the Guinness Matchday fan experience, bringing photo opportunities, interactive challenges, and live match screenings to fans in Kisumu and Nairobi.
The tour begins today, Friday, October 16, in Kisumu, with public viewing events hosted at Dondez Lounge and Berlin Lounge. The showcase then shifts back to Nairobi on Saturday, October 17, with major fan activations scheduled at Kettle House in Runda and Club 1824 along Lang’ata Road.
Speaking on the tour’s launch, Guinness Brand Manager Joy Murugi emphasized that bringing the trophy to Kenya recognizes the deep passion and loyalty of the country’s fan base.
“The presence of the trophy at the Guinness Matchday serves not just to elevate the experience, but to recognize the standing of Kenya’s football fans in supporting the Premier League,” [Murugi stated].
In addition to trophy photo sessions, attendees will participate in live matchday watch parties for the weekend’s Premier League fixtures. Entry to the designated showcase venues is open to the public in accordance with standard venue policies throughout the weekend.
