Treasury Principal Secretary Dr Chris Kiptoo has highlighted Kenya’s growing position as a strategic diplomatic and economic hub following the Africa Forward Summit 2026 held in Nairobi.
In a post shared after the summit, Dr Kiptoo said the event brought together global leaders to discuss major issues affecting Africa and the world, including global financial reform, green industrialisation, energy transition, artificial intelligence, digital innovation, sustainable agriculture, health, peace, and security.
“Kenya has further cemented its position as a strategic diplomatic and economic hub through the Africa Forward Summit 2026 in Nairobi,” Dr Kiptoo stated.
According to the PS, the summit served as a platform for advancing dialogue on sustainable development, investment, and stronger cooperation between African countries and global partners.
PS Kiptoo added that the Summit underscored Africa’s growing influence in shaping global conversations and reaffirmed a shared commitment to practical, inclusive, and mutually beneficial partnerships that will drive the continent’s long-term growth and resilience.
The remarks place Nairobi at the centre of discussions on development, investment, and international cooperation, while also reinforcing Kenya’s role in hosting high-level global engagements focused on Africa’s future growth and resilience.
