KIM Responds to Accreditation Concerns, Urges Calm Among Stakeholders
The Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) has issued a statement addressing concerns over its accreditation status following the circulation of a public notice by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) dated April 20, 2026.

In the statement, KIM confirmed that it is aware of the notice, which raised issues about the revocation of accreditation and the possible closure of its campuses. The institution said it is taking the matter seriously and is already taking steps to address it.

“We wish to assure our stakeholders – students, alumni, partners, and the general public – that we are treating this matter with the utmost seriousness it deserves,” KIM stated.

The institute explained that it is currently reviewing the contents of the notice while also engaging relevant regulatory authorities to better understand the issues raised and determine the right course of action within the law.

“KIM is currently reviewing the contents of the notice and actively engaging the relevant regulatory authorities to address the issues raised,” the statement added.

At the same time, KIM called on its stakeholders to remain calm and rely only on official communication channels for accurate information as the situation continues to develop.

“In the meantime, we urge our stakeholders to remain calm and rely on official communication channels for accurate updates,” the institute noted.

KIM also reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and timely communication as it works through the matter.
“We are committed to providing timely and transparent information as the situation evolves,” KIM said.

The institute highlighted its long history, noting that it was established in 1954 and has spent over seven decades promoting management practices and professional development in Kenya. It emphasized that its operations continue to be guided by values such as professionalism, integrity, and transparency.

“We have remained steadfast to our commitment to professionalism, integrity and transparency,” KIM stated.
KIM concluded by thanking its stakeholders for their patience and continued trust as it works to resolve the issue.
