The experience is designed to create space for an older generation that has long been part of the culture but has rarely been the focus of curated events.Ngemi Founder Njoki said the new concept is intentional and long overdue, noting that it seeks to recognise and include individuals who have previously remained on the margins of such cultural spaces.
