Kenya Airways Appoints Four New Members to Its BoardKenya Airways has announced the appointment of four new members to its Board of Directors in a move aimed at strengthening the airline’s governance and strategic leadership.The national carrier confirmed that businessman Kiprono Kittony has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board and will also serve as an Independent Non-Executive Director.
Kittony brings extensive experience in business leadership and corporate governance, having previously held several senior roles in Kenya’s private sector.Economist David Ndii has also joined the board as a Non-Executive Director.
Ndii is widely known for his work in economic policy and public finance and is expected to contribute strategic insight to the airline’s long-term financial and operational planning.Also appointed to the board is Chris Diaz, who will serve as an Independent Non-Executive Director.
Diaz is expected to bring international aviation and corporate leadership experience to the airline’s board as it continues to strengthen its operations and competitiveness in the regional and global aviation industry.In addition, Winnie Iminza Nyamute has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director. Prof. Nyamute is recognized for her expertise in corporate governance, finance, and academic leadership, and her appointment is expected to enhance the board’s professional diversity and oversight capacity.
The new appointments come at a time when Kenya Airways continues to implement reforms aimed at improving financial performance, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
