The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party, through the Secretary General Hassan Omar, has announced that it will make changes on the party’s National Executive Committee once the court gives its ruling on Rigathi Gachagua’s Impeachment case.
While addressing the media on Tuesday 29, Omar clearly told the party’s stand revealing that the Party’s top leadership has no space to accommodate Rigathi Gachagua, anymore.

“Once the process in the courts has been concluded, we will sit down as a party and we make sure that we replace the Deputy Party leader with the new one,” said Hassan Omar.
Asking Gachagua to move on and accept his fate, Omar wished him well should he desire to re-arrange himself politically, a sign that the impeached DP’s stay at UDA has hit its last lapse.
“If he wants to go and regroup himself and re-organize politically we wish him all the best but let us move on,” he added.

Whatever verdict that the court will make, nominated DP Prof Kithure Kindiki will take over as the Deputy party leader. Kindiki was approved by the National Assembly on October 18, following his nomination by President William Ruto.
This followed the Senate’s decision to uphold National Assembly’s impeachment motion that was presented before the House by MP Mwingi Mutuse.
