Nadia Mukami, one of the well-known artists in Kenya, is widely recognized for her hit song Jipe. She is one of the celebrated artists in secular music across the republic. Her prominence grew significantly after marrying her fellow artist, Arrow Bwoy, and she has been one of the most consistent performers.

Here are 10 things you did not know about Nadia Mukami.

  1. Nadia once won a 2-year music scholarship to Sauti Academy but unfortunately lost it due to her university degree commitments.
  2. After completing high school, she used to act in set book plays at the National Theatre. She was also involved in poetry through PAL (Performing Arts Lab), a platform well-known among artists at KNT. Additionally, she acted at Pangani Social Hall and was even selected for a travelling opportunity — but her dad declined the offer.
Now it makes sense why her facial expressions in her music videos are always on point!
  3. While in high school at Mount Laverna School, Nadia read news in Swahili every Friday — a memory many alumni can confirm. She was popularly referred to as the school’s Kanze Dena. Interestingly, she was the only student in the entire school trusted with the Swahili news segment every Friday — clearly, uceleb started early for her!
