Auctioneers Pursue Senator Karen Nyamu Over Ksh 1.25 Million Rent

Auctioneers, with police assistance, are set to puruse nominated senator Karen Nyamu following a court order that permits them to gain access into Mrs Nyamu’s residence in Runda’s Graceville Villas, to attach household items over alleged rent arrears totalling ksh 1.25 million.

At Nairobi court, the Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate A.H. Nyoike, directed the Runda Police Commander to ensure the auctioneers can enforce the court order issued on November 11, 2024.

Court documents show that the landlord, James Gichuru Kirubi, first sought an attachment order last year over arrears then amounting to Ksh 385,000.

While dismissing the allegations, Senator Nyamu claimed that she is maliciously targeted, further explaining that she had an agreement with her landlord to purchase the property, with part of her deposit converted as payment for the house.

However, the former CAS has promised to fight for her own justice in the process of challenging the court decision.

Runda Police Commander Rose Ndolo confirmed receiving the court order and has requested Mrs Nyamu to corporate well with the officers to ensure law and order during the attachment process.
