H.E President Dr. William Samoei Ruto has described newly sworn-in Prof Kithure Kindiki as a committed, selfless and competence public servant who suits the position of Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya.
Taking to his social media handles, moments after Kindiki was sworn in as Rigathi Gachagua’s replacement, Ruto emphasized that his government need a leader of Kindiki’s calibre to be able to successfully implement the agendas of his regime.
“At a critical phase of the implementation of our Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda, Kenyans require a public servant and a consummate champion of our constitutional dispensation,” the President stated.

Further, the Head of State noted that public official must be a dedicated and loyal leader who will break ethnic barriers and inspire inclusivity and unity, apart from supporting the Cabinet and the Presidency in delivering in full and on time for the people.
“Prof Abraham Kithure Kindiki is an exemplary example of a qualified, committed and outstanding scholar whose selflessness, competence, experience and focus will mobilize the Government towards delivering The Plan,” he added.
He gave his appreciation to his deputy, Prof Kithure Kindiki beseeching him to bring all his efforts so they can work together to deliver for the great people of Kenya.
Kindiki, after a successful swearing-in at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Nairobi, historically becomes the third Deputy President of Kenya taking from impeached Rigathi Gachagua who served in the DP’s office for only two years.
