Heaps of Praise on AIC Litein Girls School For Coming in Aid Of a Needy Student

A family at Kitait Village in Kericho County has all the reasons to smile after their 14-year-old girl by the name Mirriam Chebet met a good Samaritan while in absolute despair to join secondary school.

Chebet, who sat for her Kenya Certificate of Primary Examinations (KCPE), at a village school; Kitait Primary School, managed to score 287 marks and had dreams of joining AIC Litein Girls School where she was called to advance her studies.

However, her family background molded into a barrier that dimmed her lights on the education journey. She could not report due to lack of fees. It was not until the eleventh hour that fortune struck on their door when the AIC Litein principal Mrs. Teresa Sogomo, and her team led by BOM Chair Dr. Mathew Tonui, made a surprise visit to their home to pick her up to report at her school of choice- AIC Litein.

At this point, the tune changed and the helpless situation in which they long swam, took a U-turn to become nothing but a song and dance scene at Kitait village, Cheplanget ward in Bureti Sub-County.
