Rapper and radio host Nazizi has penned an emotional message to mourn the death of her son Jazeel, which occurred during the Christmas period in Tanzania.
In a heartbreaking letter shared with her fans, the son died in an accident in Tanzania, where the family was on vacation, but has since been buried due to their customs and traditions. The family has, however, asked for privacy and prayers during the mourning period, as seen in the message to her social media fans.
“It is with profound shock that we share the passing of Jazeel, the beloved son of Nazizi Hirji, on Christmas Day, December 25th, in Tanzania. We lost this young soul in an unfortunate accident in a hotel where the family was staying. He was buried earlier this week, in accordance with his religion.
In her son’s honor, Nazizi urges the media, fans, and the public to hold the sanctity of family and the preciousness of life by fostering a period of privacy as they navigate through this indescribable sorrow,” read the statement in part.
Prominent personnel have condoled with the family, with Nairobi County Esther Passaris and Susana Owiyo becoming the latest high-profile individuals to condole with the family following the tragic loss.
In her message on her X account, Passaris conveyed her deepest sympathy and support to the grieving couple during this challenging time.
“My deepest condolences to Nazizi and her husband on the heartbreaking loss of Jazeel. Sending love, strength, and prayers to their family during this incredibly difficult time. Said Passaris.
