President William Ruto has made new appointments that saw the National Police Service (NPS) finding a new face join the senior most ranks.
In line with the recommendations from the National Police Service, the president through the Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, tasked Douglas Kanja Kirocho to deputize Inspector General in the Kenya Police Service, beginning today henceforth. Before the new appointment, Mr Douglas Kanja was in the General Service Unit (GSU) working as a commandant.
This is not the only change that the Head of State did. He also went further to appoint Gideon Munga Nyale as the new commandant at Kiganjo Police Training Institute as he will henceforth assume the roles that were initially given to Bruno Shioso.
Bruno Shioso on the other hand, got his duties relocated to Kenya Coast Guard service where he will work as the new Director General. Two more appointments included that of Eliud Kipkoech Lagat and Ranson Lolmodoni; the commandant General Service Unit and Director of Operations in the National Police Service respectively.
