You Were Warned Not to Enter Elections Without a Political Party – Moses Kuria Criticizes Rigathi Gachagua and Allies

Former CS Moses Kuria has criticized the impeached Rigathi Gachagua and his allies for failing to heed advice to form an agreement with William Ruto through a political party from the Mountain region.

On his official Twitter handle, the former CS took a dig at the impeached Gachagua, stating that he ignored advice from figures such as Martha Karua and Mwangi Wa Iria to align with Ruto using a political party.

Kuria stated that the embattled DP fought those who advised him, calling them names, and now expects them to sympathize with him after being removed as deputy president. He also accused Gachagua of attempting to take the Mount Kenya region into the opposition.

“Dr. Thuo Mathenge, No Wanguku, William Kabogo, Peter Munya, Mwangi Wa Iria, and Martha Karua warned you about going into elections without a political party. You fought us like ‘burukenge’. Now you want us to cry with you in the opposition? Forget it! We have moved on. Prof. Kithure Kindiki is the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya. Everyone is responsible for their own actions!”.

Rigathi is facing challenges from the government after being impeached by both the National Assembly and the Senate last week, and Prof. Kithure Kindiki has been announced as his replacement.

However, the courts issued conservatory orders preventing Kindiki’s swearing-in as the new DP.
