Where Is My Son?” Billy Mwangi’s Father Emotionally Pleads for His Release

A distraught father of the missing Embu blogger Billy Mwangi broke down in court while recounting the incident involving his family, where they have spent weeks without seeing their son, Billy Mwangi.

In a video that has since gone viral, the father, Gerald Mwangi, is seen emotionally broken down as he sheds a tear for failing to see his son in the court chambers, despite the assurance that the young blogger would be brought to court.

“I have traveled all the way from Embu just to pick up my son. I can’t see him here. Where is my son? His mother has already been affected and is under medication for high blood pressure due to the disappearance of our son. I too have been struggling. Where is my son? Please give me my son,” pleaded Gerald.

Billy Mwangi went missing last week under mysterious circumstances and has yet to be found. The national police issued a statement last week confirming that they do not have Billy Mwangi or other missing individuals in their custody but assured the public that the investigations are still ongoing.

In an effort to call on the government to release the missing individuals, several youths, led by Busia Senator, took to the streets yesterday to urge the government to release the abducted individuals. However, they were later arrested and were being processed in court today. According to reports, several individuals are still missing, and their families are still in agony as they search for their loved ones, whose whereabouts remain unknown.
