Wamalwa- Police Have No Justification For Hurting Protesters

Eugene Wamalwa, a former chief of the defence staff, has criticized the police for their decision to deem the planned Azimio protests illegal.

Speaking on Sunday, Wamalwa claimed that despite the constitution’s authorization, Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome erred in dismissing the protest. He claimed that this week, he and other Azimio officials gave the police notice of the upcoming nonviolent protests.

The IG added that the problems that politicians are bringing up are political in nature and ought to be handled politically.
