United Opposition Steps Up Consultations Ahead of DP National Delegates Conference

The United Opposition has intensified consultations after holding a strategic meeting at the PLP Headquarters ahead of the Democratic Party of Kenya’s (DP) National Delegates Conference scheduled for Ufungamano House.The meeting brought together key opposition leaders and senior party officials who reviewed preparations for the conference and discussed the broader political outlook.

Sources indicated that the leaders focused on strengthening cooperation among opposition parties, harmonising their positions, and ensuring a coordinated approach during the highly anticipated delegates’ meeting.The DP National Delegates Conference is expected to attract delegates from across the country, including party officials, elected leaders, and grassroots representatives.

The forum is a critical decision-making platform where delegates are set to deliberate on party leadership, internal structures, policy priorities, and the party’s strategic direction in the evolving political landscape.During the meeting at the PLP Headquarters, opposition leaders also assessed logistical arrangements for the conference, including delegate mobilisation, security, and communication strategies.

Emphasis was placed on maintaining unity and discipline as the parties prepare to engage supporters and stakeholders during the conference.Ufungamano House, a venue historically associated with major political and civil society engagements, has been selected to host the conference, underscoring the significance of the event.
